Close in days, not weeks.

AI agents prepare reconciliations, cut-off, accruals and VAT review for UAE finance managers. You keep approvals, limits, hard stops and the audit trail.

Less chasing, more controlling

The close is a relay of spreadsheets, and you’re the one holding every baton. With Rami: Rami runs the close checklist: Noor reconciles, Hana sweeps cut-off, Zayd posts accruals. Each task moves to done with its evidence.

Nobody remembers who changed an entry, or why, until the auditor asks. With Rami: Every entry, by a person or an agent, carries its reasoning and source. Faris reviews postings continuously and flags anomalies early.

Management wants answers on Tuesday, and the numbers are only final on the 15th. With Rami: Omar answers questions on the live ledger in English or Arabic, shows the transactions behind each figure, and builds cash-flow forecasts.

A month with Rami

Work happens through the month, so the close is a review, not a rebuild.

Day 1, Rami: The month is planned. Rami opens the period’s close checklist and assigns each task to an agent or a person on your team.

Day 3, Noor: Reconciled daily. Noor matches bank and card lines every morning, so differences surface in days, not at month-end.

Day 9, Faris: Anomalies caught early. Faris flags possible duplicates, unusual amounts and postings outside policy, each with the reason.

Day 16, Layla: VAT review, not VAT prep. Layla maps transactions to VAT 201 boxes, including reverse charge, and lists the exceptions for you.

Day 26, Dana: Payroll journal and WPS. Dana posts the payroll journal and prepares the SIF file. The total ties to net pay before it reaches the bank.

Day 30, Rami: Period locked. After your sign-off, the period is locked. Locking is a hard stop: no agent can do it, or undo it, on its own.

The deadlines on your calendar

What the FTA and MOHRE expect from a growing UAE company, as of October 2026.

E-invoicing: Two phases, two deadlines. Revenue of AED 50 million or more: appoint an accredited provider by 30 Oct 2026, live 1 Jan 2027. Under AED 50 million: by 31 Mar 2027, live 1 Jul 2027.

VAT: Returns and the new penalty regime. Returns and payment are due 28 days after each tax period. A revised penalty regime has applied since 14 Apr 2026, including late-payment penalties charged at 14% a year.

Corporate tax: Return, arm’s length and audit. Return and payment are due 9 months after year-end. Related-party and connected-person transactions must be at arm’s length, and revenue above AED 50 million requires audited financial statements.

WPS: Salaries on the 1st, no grace period. Since 1 June 2026, each month’s wages are due through WPS on the 1st of the following month, and at least 85% of wages due must be paid to count as on time. Late payment can block new work permits.
